We, 2210783 Alberta Ltd. o/a Sushi Boat, are looking for a Cook (permanent / full time position) who can join our professional team!

Job title: Cook (NOC 6322)
Terms of employment: Permanent & Full time Position
Wage: $17 to 18 per hour for 30-40 hours a week at 52 weeks a year

Location: 806 Crowfoot Cres NW, Calgary AB T3G 4S3
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
ï‚Ÿ Prepare and cook individual dishes and complete meals in accordance with restaurant recipes or personal judgment and experience
ï‚Ÿ Check the quality of raw and cooked products
ï‚Ÿ Maintain inventory and records of food ingredients, supplies and equipment
ï‚Ÿ Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance once requested
ï‚Ÿ Confirm the quantity and quality of received ingredients
ï‚Ÿ May plan menus, determine the size of food portions
ï‚Ÿ Maintain kitchen and food handling area neat and clean
ï‚Ÿ Properly and regularly inspect kitchen
ï‚Ÿ Train new kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking when needed

ï‚Ÿ Fast paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended period of time

Position Requirements and Qualifications
ï‚Ÿ Completion of high school education; additional training/certificate in a related field as an asset
ï‚Ÿ Previous (1-7 months) work experience in commercial cooking industry
ï‚Ÿ Familiarity with Asian/Japanese Cuisine
ï‚Ÿ Flexibility; Organized; Team player; Reliability; Client focus; Judgement
