Education, skills and experience required:
- Completion of high school
- Minimum 2 years of experience of food preparation in commercial environment
- Experience and/or knowledge Japanese food cooking is an asset

Language: Communication skills in English

Compensation: $17.75/hourly, 40hrs/week, 10 days of paid vacation

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Japanese meals for bento (boxed meals), deli menus, and other catering menus
- Plan and create new menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Fill in for or assist the chef
- Responsible for scheduling and substituting when the chef is off-duty
- Instruct kitchen helpers
