Job Details
The Sen Pad Thai team is looking for a motivated and passionate Sous-Chef to come on board! You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will have a chance to work with local ingredients and complex Thai flavors. We are currently looking for a permanent and full-time Sous-Chef.

Education, Skills and Experiences required:
• Completion of a secondary school
• At least three years of experience in commercial food preparation is required
• Knowledge or experience in preparation of Thai cuisine is strong asset but not a requirement
• Passionate about the integrity of preparing quality dishes
• Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Must be a team player

Language: Communication skills in English

Compensation: $20.00 / hour plus tips/gratuities, staff meals, extended Sunlife medical plan (after 1-year continuous full-time work), 4% Vacation Pay

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise activities of chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
• Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
• Prepare and cook meals when necessary
• Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours
• Maintain open communication with owner regarding daily operations
• Help in planning menus and come up with new dishes which appeal to the clients
• Set up of all machines and cooking appliances
• Check freshness and quality of ingredients
