Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On-the-road job: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee. Various job sites/site trailers across Ontario. Occasional travel to head office in Ajax.
Worksite environment: Outdoors

Responsibilities
Tasks
• Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
• Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations
• Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
• Prepare engineering designs and drawings
• Prepare project schedules
• Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials
• Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
• Assisting the project manager and supervisor with long-term planning and scheduling of projects
• Coordination of design for temporary structures, including shoring, bridge jacking and access/protection systems
• Assisting the project manager in meeting quality standards during production
Computer and technology knowledge an asset
• AutoCAD
• MS Excel
• MS Outlook
• MS Project
• MS Word
Civil engineering experience an asset
• Bridges and overpasses
Own tools/equipment
• Steel-toed safety boots
