Overview

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and logistics field

Other Languages: Mandarin language skills are considered an asset for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

Tasks:
- Coordinate global logistics and documentation for incoming shipments to facilitate customs clearance.
- Organize deliveries in collaboration with site management.
- Transport materials to various construction sites across Canada.
- Conduct quantity counts and verify specifications from Architectural Drawings of construction materials.
- Prepare and draft quotations using templates for final review.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure the submission of accurate drawings.
- Supervise, plan, assign, and review the work of clerks engaged in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, maintaining inventories, processing purchasing transactions, coordinating production, dispatching crews, scheduling transportation, and other related activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security policies, procedures, standards, and regulations, and contribute to their enhancement.
- Address and resolve various problems and related complaints, implementing corrective measures and process improvements as necessary.
- Manage overseas staff in Asia and provide training in job duties.
- Negotiate with vendors and requisition necessary supplies and materials.
- Oversee the smooth operation of computer systems and arrange maintenance and repair work as needed.
- Conduct performance reviews of supervised workers.
- May perform the same duties as workers under supervision.
