Axis Planning Inc., is an Export & Import Trading Company based in Vancouver, Canada. In a City known for its geographic accessibility as the gateway to North America, we also offer extensive logistic services, through our office in Tokyo, Japan.

We are currently looking for a full-time and permanent Logistics Coordinator.

Education, skills and experience required:
• Completion of secondary school
• Completion of a post-secondary education program of less than two years in Business or Supply Chain Management
• Several years of work experience as a dispatcher, production clerk, scheduling clerk or custom (import/export) broker

Language: Communication skills in English; Ability of communicating in Japanese (business level) is preferred/strong asset as we are dealing with Japanese speaking clients and companies in Japan.

Compensation:
$23.00 / hour, 4% Vacation Pay, Extended health benefit including life, dental and eyecare.
*** 6% Vacation Pay after 5-year full-time employment.

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan and oversee operational logistics of supply-chain work
• Monitor inventory to maintain optimal inventory level and to decide procurement amount of products
• Plan export schedules for Japan and receiving schedules for Canada, running in a cost and time-efficient manner
• Coordinate with forwarders and shipping companies to book container space
• Prepare and process all customs documents for International & U.S. shipments such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and so on.
• Communicate regularly with Japanese and U.S. suppliers, forwarders, truckers, and warehouse to maintain a smooth supply chain
• Monitor the entire logistics, from suppliers to warehouse in Canada, to ensure timely transportation of items
