Norwest Pumping Inc. is looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic Helper at 6516 68 Ave NW Edmonton, AB T6B 3M3 Canada. There are 4 positions available.

Job Description

Main duties are as follows but not limited to:

?Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas
?Assist in checking trucks, trailers, concrete pumps and other heavy equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
?Assist in Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
?Assist in adjusting equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
?Assist in mechanical, electrical and body repairs of trucks/trailers and heavy equipment
?Assist in testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
?Assist in repairing and maintaining truck/trailers & heavy equipment
?Assist in cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on heavy equipment
?Perform other labouring and elemental tasks as required.


Hours of work are 40 hours/week (overtime pay after 44 hours). Pay is $28.85/hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed high school. Minimum work experience is 2 years hands on experience.
