Hourly Wage: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: 119 2 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0B2
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, which include sauces, soups, salads, vegetables, meats
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance
• Check the quantity and quality of received products
• Estimate expected food consumption and requirement
• Maintain inventory and records of food ingredients, supplies and equipment
• Place purchase orders and/or requisitions for procuring necessary, food ingredients, supplies, etc. required for menu preparation
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
• Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Secondary school (senior high) graduation is required;
• 1-2 years of work experience in commercial kitchen settings
• Flexibility, Organized, Team Player
• Physically capable of performing the required duties,
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Repetitive tasks; Physically demanding; Standing for extended periods; Overtime required;
