Brave Spaces is a nature-based, Reggio Emilia inspired centre seeking a full-time ECEA to join our team of dedicated professionals with the following responsibilities:

o Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and co-workers
o Ability to set up positive environments for children in a Reggio Emilia inspired Christian centre
o Create active, educational and engaging activities with creative storytelling, singing and music activities, engaging crafts suitable for building and stimulating early childhood learning
o Caring for children’s essential needs such as toileting, changing, dressing, cleaning and practicing proper hygiene
o Attending to children’s snacks and meals
o Attending to children’s nap time and resting periods
o Commitment to the childcare field and ongoing learning
o Ability to work independently and with team members
o Housekeeping and maintaining proper cleanliness of equipment, furniture and children’s play areas
o Attending staff meetings and reporting to supervisors
Skills & Requirements:
o Valid ECEA Certificate is required
o Successful completion of a criminal record check
o Excellent communication skills
o Current first aid/CPR
o Skills and experience in working with pre-school children in a Christian faith based environment an asset

Terms of employment:

Hours per Week: 30hours, must be able to work split shift (e.g.: mornings 7am to 9am and afternoon closings 1:30pm to 5:30pm). The Centre is open Monday to Friday 7:00am -5:30pm, hours can vary.

Language of work: English

Wage: $20.00 per hour
