EATology is a bright, centrally located space in downtown Vernon, BC for lunch lovers to enjoy with their friends, co-workers, family or just about anyone, making our restaurant a favourite among locals. We're a quick service diner, serving breakfast and lunch. We also offer takeaway, catering and home baked items. We make 90% of our products in-house.

We are currently looking for a permanent and full-time Line Cook.

Education, skills and experience required:
- Completion of Secondary School
- Minimum two years of work experience of food preparation in commercial environment
- Maintain exceptional hygiene and presentation

Language:
- Communication skills in English

Compensation:
$18.00 - $21.00/hour (depends on experience, qualifications), 4% vacation pay, Tips/Gratuities, Staff meals on shift, Staff discounts

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook meals and foods on the menu according to customer’s orders
- Operate, maintain, and properly clean the kitchen and all kitchen equipment
- Supervise kitchen helpers
- Ensure food service and quality control
- Perform regular inventory counts and report shortages to supervisor or manager
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area
