We, IBII Construction Inc, are looking for passionate candidates for the position of a full-time Floor Covering Installer.

Position: Floor Covering Installer (NOC 73113)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30 to 40 hours per week), Morning, Day, Evening, Flexible Hours
Hourly Wage: $27-29
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: #11-5970 Island Hwy W Qualicum Beach, BC V9K 2E1

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Measure and assess the area to be covered and determine the amount of materials needed.
• Examine blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the work requirements.
• Prepare the surface for installation by removing old flooring, leveling the subfloor, and repairing any imperfections.
• Install floor coverings using appropriate adhesives, fasteners, or interlocking mechanisms.
• Ensure proper alignment and spacing of floor coverings for a neat and professional finish.
• Stretch carpeting using knee-kicker or power stretcher and secure carpeting to floor or other surfaces using staple gun or other devices
• Measure, cut and install resilient floor covering using adhesive, rollers and other hand tools
• Inspect completed installations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school
• Training will be provided; work experience or certificate of apprenticeship program or college diploma related to floor covering installation as an asset
• Client focus, Team player, Well-organized

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
• Physically demanding
• Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Handling heavy loads
