Ribn Transport is looking for 2 Long Haul Truck Drivers (TEER CODE 73300) to work on a permanent, full-time basis.

License: Class 1 License .Minimum Hours: 40 hours per week
Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, maintenance and repair reports and trip reports.

Transportation/ Travel Information: Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, valid driver's license equivalent to Class 1 Alberta License.

Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem Solving, Job Task Planning, and organizing.

Benefits: WCB Coverage, 4% Vacation Pay, Overtime at the rate 1.5 times of the normal wage rate after 60 hours per week

Job Description
Job Duties:
1) Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
2) Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of Cargo
3) Plan travel schedules and routes, Use Atlas and other trip planning aids
4) Receive and reply information to Central Dispatcher
5) Able to Drive as a part of a Two-person team or convoy
6) Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect Tires, Lights, Brakes, Cold-Storage and other equipment
7) Perform Brake Adjustments
8) Monitor Vehicle Performance and Mechanical Fitness
9) Maintain tidiness of the fleet
10) Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
11) Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
