Job Details
BA Restaurant Holdings Ltd. (dba Honey Salt) is looking for an experienced Cook to join the team.

This position is permanent, full-time; 40 hours per week; $20.00 per hour. Eligible for extended health and dental benefits after passing 3 months of probationary period.

Standard 8-hour shifts for this position could be scheduled between 10 AM and 3 AM as required (scheduled shift times can vary on a weekly basis based on business needs).

Job Description
Duties:
- Works in collaboration with other Team Members and Departments to ensure the kitchen and outlets operate in accordance with established operational procedures
- Proper set-up, maintenance and adherence to scheduled duties, ensuring mise-en-place and par stock is maintained for all position related items, conducts regular inventory and ordering of products as required
- Regularly inspects food and supplies ensuring that proper product rotation and safe food preparation and storage standards are maintained
- Ensures food preparation is completed for a specific kitchen station and assembles or cooks items as required
- Follows established sanitation standards, maintains a clean work station and assists with cleaning of the overall kitchen and service areas
- Maintains a composed and professional demeanor while providing exemplary service
- Is aware of menu items, menu and operational changes and communicates the information as appropriate
- Protects the organization, guests and co-workers by adhering to applicable food, liquor, safety, and workplace standards, operational requirements and statutory compliance regulations
- Ensures that all property, furnishings, equipment and supplies are used according to proper instructions and intended use
- Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or their designated representative.

Qualifications:
- Secondary school completion required;
- Completion of an apprenticeship or college program in cooking or food safety OR 1+ years of experience in commercial cooking;
- Red Seal Endorsement is an asset;
- Food Safe Certification;
- Have an solid understanding of different cuisines and food preparation methods;
- Experience managing inventory and proper product use to eliminate waste and spillage;
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and stoop repeatedly;
- Be able to frequently lift and carry up to 44 pounds;
- English language ability is required;
