BA Restaurant Holdings Ltd. (dba BC Kitchen) is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join the team.
This position is permanent, full-time; 40 hours per week; $23.00 per hour.
Eligible for extended health and dental benefits after passing 3 months of probationary period. Standard 8-hour shifts for this position could be scheduled between 10 AM and 3 AM as required (scheduled shift times can vary on a weekly basis based on business needs).

Job Description
Duties:
?- Prepare and cook food items or specialty foods in collaboration with team members
?- Liaises with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure a high level of effective communication is maintained and participates in culinary initiatives
?- Ensure consistent and the highest calibration of food presentation
?- Prepare and garnish food orders as they are received in accordance with recipes and proper plate presentation
?- Proper set-up, maintenance and adherence to scheduled duties, ensuring mise-en-place and par stock is maintained for all position related items, conducting regular inventory and ordering products as required
?- Ensuring food preparation is completed for a specific kitchen station and assembling or cooking items as required
?- Following established sanitation standards, maintaining a clean work station and assisting with cleaning of the overall kitchen and service areas
?- Maintaining a composed and professional demeanor while providing exemplary service
?- Being aware of menu items, menu and operational changes and communicating the information as appropriate
?- Protecting the organization, guests and co-workers by adhering to applicable food, liquor safety and workplace standards, operational requirements and statutory compliance regulations
?- Ensuring that all property, furnishings, equipment and supplies are used according to proper instructions and intended use?
?- All duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or their designated representative
Qualifications:
- Secondary school completion required;
- Completion of an apprenticeship or college program in cooking or food safety OR ?2+ years of experience in commercial cooking;
- Red Seal Endorsement is an asset;
- Food Safe ?Level 1 Certification;
?- Have an solid understanding of different cuisines and food preparation methods?;
?- Have a detailed product knowledge and effectively handle all inquiries including food suggestions, dietary, food sensitivity or allergy requirements?;
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and stoop repeatedly;
- Be able to frequently lift and carry up to 44 pounds;
- English language ability is required;
