Permanent, full-time; $19.00 per hour; 40 hours per week.

Job Description

Duties:
• Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment;
• Interact with bees based on your knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology and caste system;
• Wrapping and unwrapping hives;
• Help to assemble nuc hives;
• Supervising hives;
• Pulling honey (must be able to lift and carry 50 to 70 lbs.);
• Extracting honey.


Requirements:

- At least 1 year of previous work experience with apiaries required;
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs (23 kg);
- Must be willing to work for prolonged periods in hot weather;
- English language ability is required.
