Job Description

Duties:
- Working on High Rise Buildings (at least 25 floors and higher) applying exterior paints and sealants.
- Prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, sandblasting, or other means as necessary;
- Mixes, matches, and blends various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains and special protective coatings to achieve desired color, consistency, and drying properties. Caulks, putties, cements or plasters holes and cracks;
- Prepares and paints surfaces using a variety of methods including masking, cutting, rolling and spraying, as needed;
- Determines and clearly identifies proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects;
- Assembles and disassembles scaffolding and swing stages, as needed;
- Evaluates customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer.

Requirements:
- Secondary school completion is required;
- Must have at least 6 months of painting experience. Experience must include: working on high rise buildings (25 stories or higher), painting a variety of surfaces using different painting materials, and working with sealant materials (polyurethane, silicone).
- Ability to operate boom lifts, assemble and erect scaffolding and swing stages, use bosun chair and ladders;
- Swing Stage orientation, Bosun Chair and Boom Lift Certificate;
- Fall Protection Awareness Training and First Aid Training are assets;
- Ability to lift heavy items is required;
- English language ability is required.
