Kitanoya Marketing Corp. (dba Guu Davie) is seeking 4 Head Cooks for all their Guu restaurants in Vancouver, BC.

Permanent, Full-time; $34.62 per hour; 30-40 hours per week. Bonus available based on sales performance.

Standard 6-8 hour shift could be schedule anytime between 10am and 1am as required.

Shifts may be scheduled at the following five locations:

1. Guu Davie, 1239 Davie St., Vancouver, BC
2. Guu Toramasa, 757 Seymour St., Vancouver, BC
3. Guu with Otokomae, #105 – 375 Water St., Vancouver, BC
4. Guu with Garlic, 1698 Robson St., Vancouver, BC
5. Guu Thurlow, 838 Thurlow St., Vancouver, BC

Job Description

Duties:
· Cook everything on the menu;
· Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness;
· Prepare ingredients and other Japanese food;
· Coordinate and oversee kitchen staff and cooks in managing the preparation of meals;
· Ensure all meals leaving the kitchen are consistent in presentation and quality;
· Provide training to new kitchen staff on matters of hygiene, Japanese cuisine techniques, and other matters.

Requirements:
· Secondary school completion preferred;
· Minimum 5 years of previous experience as a commercial cook;
· English language ability is required;
· Japanese language ability is an asset.
